Landon Lyons

COO

Started working in the oilfield in 1998 for Marine Drilling left Marine Drilling in 2000, went to Cardinal Gas Lift until 2003. Started at Crescent Directional Drilling in 2004 as a Directional Driller and in 2011 was promoted to Directional Operations Coordinator. 2016 joined ACCEL Directional as Operations Manager until Patriot was formed in 2019. He has extensive experience in GOM Shelf, as well as Haynesville, Austin Chalk, Eagle Ford, James Lime, Fayetteville, Mid Con (Scoop & Stack) and Permian Basins.

Tad Roane

President

Tad has a degree in finance from the University of Texas, worked for a bank managing a loan portfolio, started two intrastate gas pipeline companies, and was with Crescent from 2003 to 2013 as CFO and CAO.

John Jordan

Directional Operations Manager

John began his oilfield career in 1978. First as a roustabout for Reading and Bates offshore, then as a roughneck for Delta Drilling land division. John has 14 years experience as a directional driller with Eastman Whipstock beginning in 1981, Carl King and Associates, Eastman Christiansen, Ensco, and Halliburton Energy Services. He transitioned into the office as a directional coordinator for Halliburton Directional in 1993. He has 26 years experience as a directional drilling coordinator and manager, with expertise in both horizontal and conventional wells. John was the Southeast Region Manager for Crescent Directional from 2010 to 2016, overseeing a high of 37 rigs during peak times. John joined Pro Directional in 2017. In 2018 John went to Accel Directional working as a Senior Coordinator under Landon Lyons.

Nicholas Thayer

MWD Operations Manager

Nick began working in the oil field in 2006 with CTS Offshore working as an electric line operator in deep water GOM. He started at LEAM Drilling Systems in 2007 as an MWD field engineer worked his way up to MWD coordinator in 2010. In 2011 he was promoted to NE Operations Manager and was responsible for MWD and mud motors for NE USA. In 2013, he advanced to technical sales manager & in-house coordinator at BHP Billiton in Houston. He joined ACCEL in 2017 and in 2018 he took over MWD operations at ACCEL until Patriot started in 2019.

Gilbert Ornelas

VP Sales and Marketing

Gilbert started his oilfield career in 1995 when he went to work for Smith International as a Smith Bit Field Salesman. Gilbert worked in the TX oilfield for 6 years as a field salesman and was then promoted to executive account manager in 2001 where he began building his network of clients that in the next 15years would span the globe. Gilberts experience is very wide spread to around the globe. Working in Israel, Africa, Europe, China, Middle east and every basin in the L48 for various key clients. Working with many oil and gas companies Gilbert was promoted to Global Account Manager where he helped to assemble teams of professional salesman to manage every business unit Smith International had (Smith Bits, Smith, Services, Neyrfor, Pathfinder Directional) within key global accounts. SLB (Schlumberger) purchased Smith in a blockbuster merger and Gilbert was then promoted to account manager for Pathfinder D&M Global. Where he grew key accounts to record highs for SLB until 2016 where he then went to work as an account manager at Drilformance/Accel Directional. Gilbert would spend the next 3 years contributing to grow that directional company to record hi revenues and job count. It is from there in 2019 Gilbert decided to join forces with some of the very best in the directional world and put Patriot Drilling Services on his resume. Gilbert is a proven, driven, professional salesman and a leader who loves his clients and takes work personally, and who prides himself on keeping his word. Gilbert is now the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Patriot Drilling Services.

Ken McCorkle

Executive Sales

Kenneth R. McCorkle Jr. started in the oilfield over 20 years ago. In 1997 he began working on rigs all over the United States for Hydril Co. LP. Overseeing the rig operation when any Hrdil product was present and learned firsthand experience of many rig operations. In 2003 he transferred to run the Midland Facility as the Sales and Service Representative. Responsible for not only the rig operations, but also maintaining contact with Hydril’s Clients. In 2004, what is now known as MS Energy, Kenneth hired on and helped open the Midland Office. He assisted in the growth of MS Energy’s position in West Texas with several major operators. Kenneth then transferred to Houston, TX to start his position as Executive Sales (Directional Division) & U.S. Sales Manager (Survey Division) for MS. As Sales Manager, he built and trained a Sales Team that had a proven track record. He helped manage and grow their market share in various regions across the lower 48 until 2012. In 2012 Kenneth decided to go to work for a major and found an opportunity at Schlumberger as a Sr. Executive Sales for the DTR division. In late 2013 he returned to the Directional Side of the oilfield and took on the roll as Sr. Sales Representative for Sharewell, who would sell to GE for the EM technology. Once GE purchased Sharewell Kenneth took a position as VP of Business Development for InWell. After growing InWell to an all-time high, Kenneth decided to join forces with ACCEL Directional in 2015. He would spend the next 4 years contributing to the growth of all its business entities (Drilformance, Wellfirst and ACCEL Directional). With over two decades of proven performance, gains in market share, Kenneth is now the Sr. Executive Sales Man for Patriot Drilling Services.

Phil Lyons

Well Planning Manager

15 years – experience with Compass Directional Well Planning software, including multi-well horizontal drilling pad layouts, torque & drag analysis, anti-collision analysis and daily drilling projections. Experienced in AutoCAD layouts of unit boundaries, hard lines and well path layouts. 14 years of industry experience in CNC Machine Tool programming, manufacturing process planning, cutting tool selection, and CAD/CAM software applications. Earned Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, 1986 focusing on Manufacturing Technology and management. Also completed continuing education courses at University of North Texas – CAD/CAM Applications Technology, 1989 and Richland Community College, Dallas Tx – AutoCAD Ver 10.0, 1989.
